The John Madden Company Legacy

Over the last six decades, John Madden Company has earned a reputation for developing and managing award-winning commercial real estate properties that provide an exceptional experience for tenants and maximize returns for investors.

John Madden Company was founded in Omaha, Neb., in the mid-1960s by John W. Madden Jr. Over the next 45 years, under John’s leadership, the company developed more than 10 million square feet of office and related space in Colorado, Nebraska, Arizona, California, Michigan, Wyoming and Iowa.

While many of these properties were developed for John Madden Company, others were built for corporations such as Prudential, Information Handling Services, Chevron USA, Rockwell Automotive, Allstate Insurance, Equitable Real Estate and Eastdil Advisors.

Since 1970, John Madden Company has been headquartered in Greenwood Plaza, a nationally acclaimed business park of our own creation in Greenwood Village, Colo. Greenwood Plaza is a perfect example of John Madden Company’s commitment to incorporating art, architecture, and landscaping with thoughtful master planning.

In addition to developing and managing commercial real estate properties in and around the Denver area, John Madden Company has been responsible for a number of cultural contributions, including Greenwood Athletic Club (one of the top-rated athletic clubs in the country), Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre, the MADDEN Museum, the Museum of Outdoor Arts, an event center at Palazzo Verdi, and several open space parks for the surrounding community to enjoy.

Today, John Madden Company remains a family owned and operated business. While Madden Jr., remains involved in the day-to-day business of the company, John Madden Company is now helmed by Madden Jr.’s granddaughter, Blair Madden Bui, who serves as CEO.
